Recruits of Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, climb over an obstacle at Parris Island's Confidence Course on June 24, 2013. Recruits completed a series of high-rising obstacles to help overcome a fear of heights and build confidence. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 23, 2013. Approximately 20,000 recruits come to Parris Island, S.C., annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
