Senior Airman Mathew Shipman, a Power Production specialist from the 219th Red Horse Squadron, Montana Air National Guard, is working to shore up some roadwork that has been washed away from the floods weeks before along Colorado Route 36 between Estes Park and Lyons, Colorado. Shipman's normal job is electrical work, but he is assisting the road crews in this massive project. National guard units from Colorado, Utah, Kansas and Montana participate in reconstruction the Colorado State Route 36 after recent floods devastate the area. Army and Air National Guard units provide civil engineer and Red Horse units to repair the roads and provide a 24-foot wide passable road before Dec. 1, 2013. Currently they are
ahead of schedule.
