Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Clancy Michelson, a vehicle maintainer runs the yellow excavator as Army Spc. Paul Maimish runs the green one in a dried river bed in order to shore up the bridge before the river is allowed to run back through. National guard units from Colorado, Utah, Kansas and Montana participate in reconstruction the Colorado State Route 36 after recent floods devastate the area. Army and Air National Guard units provide civil engineer and Red Horse units to repair the roads and provide a 24-foot wide passable road before Dec. 1, 2013. Currently they are ahead of schedule.
