Marines of the Silent Drill Platoon march with M1 Garand rifles during a performance March 19, 2014, on Parris Island, S.C. The Marines showcased a series of unique, precision drill movements before an audience of more than 1,000 recruits Marines and civilians. The platoon is part of the Battle Color Detachment, based at Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., which travels across the nation and abroad providing ceremonial musical support and entertainment.
