Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class (FMF) Watson Lindor of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class (SW) Devan Ebanks of Los Angeles position a patient aboard USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) for a lumbar spine X-ray series. The patient was brought aboard the hospital ship from a treatment facility in Haiti, where he indicated he was suffering from back pain. Nine-hundred-fifty-eight patients have been treated aboard Comfort in support of Operation Unified Response, a multinational effort to support the local government of Haiti in helping hundreds of thousand of Haitians recover from the 7.0 earthquake that devastated the Caribbean nation last month.
