The ceremony was held to officially dedicate the class and comfort rooms built at Dona Mercedes Elementary School as a part of Exercise Balikatan. This year marks the 30th iteration of the exercise, which is an annual Philippines-U.S. military bilateral training exercise and humanitarian civic assistance engagement.
