Robert Wright Jr., son of famed 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment medic Robert Wright Sr., gives a brief speech about his father during a June 7 ceremony in Angoville-au-Plain, France. The ceremony was held to commemorate the heroic deeds of Wright Sr. and fellow medic Kenneth Moore who, during the initial action of Operation Overlord, turned the village church into a temporary aid station. Together, Wright Sr. and Moore provided lifesaving aid for 80 American and German soldiers as well as a local child.
