Cmdr. Mikael A. Rockstad, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105), speaks to the First Class Petty Officer Association about the results of the command’s climate survey. Dewey is on deployment with the Carl Vinson Strike Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations supporting Valiant Shield. Valiant Shield is a U.S.–only biennial exercise in which participation will focus on the integration of joint training among U.S. forces.
