Interior Communications Electrician 3rd Class Marissa A. Burton, from Phoenix, connects a television on the mess decks of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105). Dewey is on deployment with the Carl Vinson Strike Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations supporting Valiant Shield. Valiant Shield is a U.S.–only biennial exercise in which participation will focus on the integration of joint training among U.S. forces.
