U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Brian Way, Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 277, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 26, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), utilizes a plate compactor to compress dirt during an airfield damage repair practical application, at Canon Air Defense Complex (P111), near Yuma, Ariz., Sept. 20, 2014. 1st Lt. Way is an Aviation Ground Support student attending Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) Course 1-15, a seven-week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) cadre. MAWTS-1 provides standardized tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
