U.S. Marine Corps Aviation Ground Support students, attending Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) Course 1-15, utilize a plate compactor to compress dirt during an airfield damage repair practical application, at Canon Air Defense Complex (P111), near Yuma, Ariz., Sept. 20, 2014. WTI is a seven-week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One( MAWTS-1) cadre. MAWTS-1 provides standardized tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
