Marine Corps Sgt. Nam Deo, combat engineer, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Aviation Ground Support, participating in Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) Course 1-15, trowels the spall to ensure flatness on an airfield during an airfield damage repair practical application at Canon Air Defense Complex (P111), near Yuma, Ariz., Sept. 20, 2014. WTI is a seven week training event hosted by MAWTS-1 cadre. MAWTS-1 provides standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
