Danny Derringer, the MING State Partnership Program manager waits to continue her tour of the Joint Forces Headquarters in Lansing, Mich., Oct. 16, 2014. Priedite is a new recruit to the Latvian Defense Force and is explaining the extreme military obstacle course type of event that she competed in and won, which earned her the opportunity to visit United States military installations. The event was televised throughout Latvia as a recruitment incentive for the Latvian National Guard. Latvia is Michigan's partner in the Department of Defense sponsored State Sponsorship Program.
