Latvian National Guard soldier, Pvt. Luize Priedite stands with Michigan Army National Guard Brig. Gen. Michael Stone, the assistant adjutant general for installations and Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel Lincoln, the MING state command sergeant major, during her visit to the Joint Force Headquarters in Lansing, Mich., Oct. 16, 2014. Priedite is a new recruit to the Latvian Defense Force and earned the opportunity to visit United States military installations when she was selected as the top competitor in a "best ranger" type of event held in Latvia earlier this summer. The event was televised throughout Latvia as a promotional and recruitment incentive for the Latvian National Guard.
