    III Marine Expeditionary Force   

    A Royal Brunei Land Force service member teaches U.S. Marines about the functions and uses of animal traps Nov. 14 during exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2014 at Penanjong Garrison. Exercise CARAT addresses shared maritime security priorities and concerns, enhances interoperability among participating forces, and develops lasting relationships in the region. The Royal Brunei Land Force member is with 1st Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force. The U.S. Marines are with 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
