150328-N-OV358-017 ARABIAN GULF (March 28, 2015) - A crane onboard the Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship Cardigan Bay (L3009) lifts an 11-meter Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) from Commander, Task Group 56.1 (CTG 56.1) Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) unit to crane it over the side during the 2015 mine countermeasure (MCM) exercise Artemis Trident. CTG 56.1 conducts mine countermeasures, explosive ordnance disposal, salvage diving, and force protection operations throughout the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. Artemis Trident is a full spectrum defensive MCM exercise for the combined U.S., U.K. and French MCM Task Force and serves as an air, surface and underwater MCM theater event to strengthen coalition MCM capability.
