A building at Jacksonville, Fla., used by Union forces as a commissary office, warehouse, and (presumably) a sales store after July 1, 1867. Photo taken in either Dec. 11, 1864, or the same date in 1867. (Probably 1864) the building was typical of the commissariat's use of existing structures in which to store "commissary articles" - that is, food!
