(June 6, 2015) A solemn moment as honors are rendered during a wreath laying ceremony at the French Memorial in Historic Yorktown, June 6, in remembrance of the French and American Soldiers and Sailors who died at the invasion of Normandy, better known as D-Day, on June 6, 1944. Naval Weapons Station (WPNSTA) Yorktown color guard carried the colors of France and the U.S. Captain Paul Haebler, WPNSTA Yorktown Commanding Officer, was joined by Colonel Philippe Roux of the French Air Force and Colonel Todd Hubbard of the U.S. Army 29th Infantry Division at the ceremony.
