(June 5, 2015) – Colleen Valentine, the mother of Machinery Repairman 3rd Class (SW) Jack Valentine, speaks to the crowd during the dedication ceremony for the MR “A” School Graduation Room at Surface Warfare Officers School Unit (SWOSU) Great Lakes which was named in her son’s honor, June 5. MR3 Jack Valentine, while aboard the USS Frank Cable (AS 40), was injured when a steam pipe ruptured in the engineering spaces of the submarine tender December 1, 2006.
