U.S. Army 1st Lt. Matthew Simon, 26, 3rd platoon leader of M Troop, 4th Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment based in Vilseck, Germany, goes over the next morning's mission with Romanian Land Forces 1st Lt. Ovidiu Baragan, 26, 2nd platoon leader for the 33rd Posada Mountain Battalion based in Curtea de Arges, Romania, at the Babadag Training Area Sept. 25. "The whole objective is to keep our vehicles on line and create a wall," explained Simon. By working together, Simon and Baragan's troops fooled the opposing forces into thinking they were the main attacking effort.
