150812-N-FO981-011 SAN DIEGO (Aug. 12, 2015) Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Somers Steelman, a primary search and rescue (SAR) swimmer assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), is lowered from the guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) during SAR training operations. America is undergoing a post-shakedown availability (PSA) in which the ship's crew and assigned contractors make improvements to the ship's design. America's PSA will pave the way for future America-class amphibious assault ships. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist Seaman Jacob Holloway/Released)
