(Sept. 24, 2015) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Nathan Rhode, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, places two staples to a laceration on a patients' forehead at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., during a field training exercise (FTX). FTX is designed to exercise all aspects of the battalion's defensive and operational capabilities from manning a fighting position on the company lines, to reacting to chemical warfare threats and improvised explosive devices.
