POLARIS POINT, Guam (Oct. 15, 2015) Sailors assigned to the submarine tender USS Frank Cable receive training in how to administer a soft pipe patch from the ship’s damage control training team during damage control training, Oct. 15. Pipe patch training was just one part of an overall drill scenario that trained Frank Cable Sailors and civilian mariners in pipe patching, medical response, hose handling and fire fighting dress out drills. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
