A drill instructor of Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, corrects a recruit for not following directions during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 10. Drill instructors walked around during the training process to make sure each recruit was using the correct technique, and recruits can ask the drill instructors questions if they don’t understand how to properly execute it. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate April 22.
