A recruit of Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, practices the mid-block technique during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 10. The recruits also learned the high block, low block, left-side block and right-side block. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate April 22.
