Drill instructors of Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, instruct a recruit to repeat a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program technique during a MCMAP session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 10. If the recruits don’t execute the techniques properly, drill instructors will tell them to repeat them until they get them right. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate April 22.
