160223-N-YM440-010 STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. (Feb. 18, 2016) A Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS) instructor trains international students in boat structural repair in the Technical Welding and Applied Repairs (TWAR) course. The course provides students the necessary training to perform structural repairs and preventative maintenance to a variety of steel, aluminum or fiberglass components. The course also also provides training in rubber hull craft repair and includes instruction in oxyacetylene cutting, welding and brazing techniques, electric arc and aluminum MIG welding and fiberglass repair. NAVSCIATTS is U.S. Special Operations Command’s International Center specializing in mobile and in-resident training across the tactical, operational and strategic spectra strengthening partner nation capabilities and capacity.
