160223-N-YM440-051 STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. (Feb. 23, 2016) A Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS) instructor trains international students in tactical communications as part of the International Tactical Communications Course (ITCC). The course provides students with the required instruction and field training to plan and conduct programming and operation of HF, VHF and UHF communication equipment in all environments and situations. ITCC also teaches ancillary information required of communicators to include developing enabling objectives, frequency prediction, antenna selection and construction, data communications, troubleshooting, field hints, encryption and tactical chat, GPS equipment and communications operations planning. Practical application will test skills learned and includes conducting short, medium and long range communication drills in diverse terrain and locations. NAVSCIATTS is U.S. Special Operations Command’s International Center specializing in mobile and in-resident training across the tactical, operational and strategic spectra strengthening partner nation capabilities and capacity.
