160531-N-KH151-179 TOKYO BAY (May 31, 2016) Operations Specialist 3rd Class Britt Compagni, from Tampa, Florida, scans the horizon for hazards through "big eyes" ship binoculars while standing a forward lookout watch on vulture's row aboard the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Forward lookout watch begins the moment the lines are removed from the pier, and ends when the ship makes it safely out to sea. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
