160704-N-IN729-088 SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 4, 2016) Crayons, color pencils and chalk are strewn across a table during a Bob Ross painting event aboard the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) during Independence Day. From cannons firing a 21-gun salute, to crayons and chalk on the mess decks, there were a number of events for Sailors to take part in this Independence Day aboard America’s Flagship. Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
