160721-M-TM809-405 DA NANG, Vietnam (July 21, 2016) Chief Master-at-Arms Evette McDowald, from Memphis, Tennessee, assigned to hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19), paints the exterior of Hoa Phu Primary School at a community relation event during Pacific Partnership 2016. At the event, crew members assigned to the Mercy painted and helped install drop ceiling at the school. Mercy is joined in Da Nang by JS Shimokita (LST-4002) and Vietnam People's Navy ship Khánh Hóa for Pacific Partnership. During Pacific Partnership, partner nations work side-by-side with local organizations to conduct cooperative health engagements, engineering capability projects, community relation events and subject matter expert exchanges to better prepare for natural disaster or crisis.
