Nguyen Gia Tien, director, National Institute of Burns, Hanoi. Pacific Partnership 2016 held the Restorative Medicine Summit in Da Nang to facilitate discussion and learning among local Vietnamese medical professionals and Pacific Partnership team members. Hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) is joined in Da Nang by JS Shimokita (LST-4002) and Vietnam People's Navy ship Khánh Hóa. Partner nations are working work side-by-side with local organizations to conduct cooperative health engagements, community relation events and subject matter expert exchanges to better prepare for natural disaster or crisis.
