MOTUTAPU ISLAND, Tonga — Cpl. Cory P. Sargent leads a patrol down along the beach after inserting via combat rubber raiding craft, July 27, 2016, during a multi-national, bilateral exercise, on Motutapu Island, Tonga, between U.S. and Tongan Force, designed to increase relations and interoperability. The service members combined skills learned during the exercise such as buddy rushes, high explosive exploitation, demolition and beach insertion during the culminating range. Sargent, from Hillsboro, Oregon, is an infantryman with Task Force Koa Moana and is originally assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
