What remains of the rig in which then Lance Cpl. Nicholas Beberniss was blown up when it hit a double stacked anti-tank explosive device on July 21, 2004 while deployed to Iraq. Beberniss was blown 60 feet away from the rig, suffering multiple injuries. His only words to his fiance, Leslie, were that he had been hit, before their phone went dead.
