160924-N-AF077-110 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 24, 2016) Chief Mass Communication Specialist Jen Blake salutes the cremains of retired Senior Chief Irvin Hornkohl during a burial at sea held aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77). Hornkohl, a U.S. Navy veteran of 30 years, served during World War II during the attack on Pearl Harbor, and completed two tours in Vietnam as a Navy Seabee. Hornkohl passed away June 26, 2016 and was laid to rest at seaSept. 24, 2016. GHWB is currently conducting Tailored Ship's Training Availability and Final Evaluation Problem (TSTA/FEP).
