ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 5, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Jacob Keller, from Marshall, Ill., uses a grinder to dull the edges of a piece of metal in the repair shop of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Keller serves aboard Ike as hull maintenance technician and is responsible for metal fabrication and shipboard metalwork maintenance. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
