ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 23, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Ceerc Ping, from Newport News, Va., unwraps turkeys during Thanksgiving food preparation in the galley of the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56). Ping serves as a culinary specialist aboard San Jacinto and is responsible for preparing and serving food for the entire crew. San Jacinto, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
