The Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), patrols waters south of Japan, before returning to Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, at the end of a three-month patrol in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. During the patrol, Ronald Reagan participated in exercises Valiant Shield, Invincible Spirit and Keen Sword, designed to enhance joint military operations with partner nations throughout the region. The crew also completed its Unit Level Training Assessment-Sustainment and Maintenance and Material Management Assessment. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
