    Purple Heart Medals were placed on the Iraqi Freedom memorial for Jon Hancock’s ceremony in Camp Pendleton, Calif., Dec. 11, 2016. Hancock walked across the country from Maryland to California honoring his fallen brother and raising awareness for veterans.
