161215-N-WA993-016 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 15, 2016) Seaman Mike Dasilva, from Providence, Rhode Island, applies primer to a bulkhead in the hangar bay of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Dasilva is one of six Sailors assigned to Air Department’s overhead and deck team, which is responsible for sanding, priming and painting the hangar bay overheads and decks. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group Five, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
