Marines assigned to Combat Cargo load Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief supplies onto an MH-60S Seahawk, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 23 “Wild Cards,” aboard amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) as the Military Sealift Command dry Cargo and ammunition ship USNS Lewis and Clark (T-AKE 1) steams off of the portside of Peleliu. Peleliu is sending an initial supply of 80 pallets of HADR to Sharea Faisal Air Base for further distribution to the flood regions. Peleliu is the command ship of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. The ship is supporting the Pakistani government and military disaster relief operations in Pakistan.
