Marines assigned to Combat Cargo and Sailors attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 23 “Wild Cards” prepare to load Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief supplies on an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter aboard amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5). Peleliu is sending an initial supply of 80 pallets of HADR to Sharea Faisal Air Base for further distribution to the flood regions. Peleliu is the command ship of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. The ship is supporting the Pakistani government and military disaster relief operations in Pakistan.
