Bokusei Kinjo at his farm near Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 23, 2017. Kinjo has become a father figure to Gunnery Sgt. Todd Groves, who has worked alongside Kinjo for over two years now. Groves is a maintenance chief with Small Craft Repair Platoon, Expeditionary Operations Training Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. He was a pig farmer growing up and has now found a place in Okinawa that he can call home. Groves has helped take care of the land and the animals on Kinjo’s farm for the last two years.
