PHILIPPINE SEA (March 10, 2017) Lt j.g. Alex Steinberg, left, Ens. Mari Eves, middle, and Cmdr. Douglas Pegher, commanding officer aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stethem (DDG 63), scan the horizon and relay navigational orders to the bridge during a surface maneuver exercise as part of MultiSail 17. MultiSail 17 is a bilateral training exercise improving interoperability between the U.S. and Japanese forces. This exercise benefits from realistic, shared training enhancing our ability to work together to confront any contingency.
