PACIFIC OCEAN (Mar. 15, 2017) Religous Programs Specialist Seaman Jackson Hamstra, from Tucson Ariz., bows his head in prayer during a burial at sea on board the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz committed 16 Sailors, one soldier and one civilian to the sea during the first burial at sea ceremony held on board in more than 2 years. Nimitz is currently underway to conduct Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) in preparation for an upcoming 2017 deployment.
