PACIFIC OCEAN, Calif., – Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit Maritime Raid Force fast-rope onto the deck of a training barge to conduct vessel board search and seizure during PHIBRON-MEU Integration, April 7, 2017. VBSS missions are conducted on vessels to capture high value individuals along with collect intelligence to aid future missions. The 15th MEU undergoes demanding unit-level certification in order to be proficient in rapidly mobilize people and equipment to make the amphibious forces postured to respond to any mission.
