CAMP BEUHRING, KUWAIT (April 11, 2017)— “I didn’t want to go to school. I wanted to travel the world and shoot big guns,” said Cpl. Joshua Montgomery, an infantry team leader assigned to Lima Co., 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. “I got all my wishes,” the Lincoln Park, Michigan native chuckled. Montgomery said the defining factor that led him to the Marine Corps was the uniforms. “My buddy sat me down and looked at me, then showed me the dress uniforms. That was the final selling point.”
