United Arab Emirates (March 19, 2017) U.S. Marines pose for a picture while wearing traditional Middle Eastern garb as part of a Sunset Safari tour during the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s (MEU) port visit to the United Arab Emirates, March 19. During the tour, Marines and Sailors were able to ride through the desert in 4x4 trucks, ride camels, shop at local vendors, and enjoy local cuisine. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU is currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of regional security and stability. (U.S. Marine Corps by Lance Cpl.
