United Arab Emirates (March 19, 2017) A U.S. Marine poses for a picture before drinking from a coconut as part of a Sunset Safari tour during the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s port visit to the United Arab Emirates, March 19. On the tour, Marines and Sailors enjoyed a variety of local Arabian foods, such as dates, meat kebabs, roasted corn, lamb, coconut juice, as well as a assortment of other local foods and drinks. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU is currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of regional security and stability. (U.S. Marine Corps by Lance Cpl.
