DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (March 20, 2017) U.S. Navy sailors with the USS Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group (ARG)/11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), sit outside a café area along Jumeiarh beach boardwalk during Dubai’s Modern City tour as part of a port visit, March 20. Located outside the Atlantis Hotel and Resort, the Jumeiarh boardwalk was lined with a variety of small restaurants ranging from desserts to sandwiches. While deployed, the Marines and Sailors with the Makin Island ARG /11th MEU are given the opportunity to partake in tours and activities provided by the ship’s Moral, Welfare, and Recreation program.
